Does Spendwise AI require an account?
No. All your financial data is stored locally on your iPhone. No account, no sign-in, no cloud sync required. Your data stays private on your device.
How does receipt scanning work?
Spendwise AI uses Apple's Vision framework for on-device OCR to read receipts. For complex receipts, AI extracts the key fields. Receipt images are processed locally and never uploaded to any server.
Which languages are supported for scanning?
German, English, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Polish — covering most of Western and Central Europe.
What is the AI free tier?
Free users get 15 AI calls per month across all AI features. AI Chat is limited to 20 messages/month, Receipt Scan to 5 scans/month. Weekly insights and 6-month forecast are always free.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. All core features — adding expenses, viewing summaries, budget tracking, trip expenses, and Excel export — work completely offline. Only AI features require internet.
I forgot my PIN. How do I reset it?
After 3 incorrect PIN attempts, a "Forgot PIN? Reset app" option appears. Your expense data is preserved — only the PIN is reset.
How do I delete all my data?
Go to Settings → Reset All Data within the app. This permanently removes all expenses, income, trips, and settings from your device.
